Is school violence increasing or decreasing? There has been a huge debate about is school violence increasing or decreasing? Reasons why school violence is decreasing is that many schools now have rules and policies such as metal detectors and locker checks, these rules and policies help teachers and students realize that for what purpose do these students bring these kinds of items to school. Also when kids understand that they shouldn’t do these kinds of things they think the teachers are right because they notice why to bully this person? Why to bring a weapon to school, therefore making school violence decreasing. Also what somebody learns is what somebody will go on through for the rest of their life for example if they’re going to be a worker or a criminal. According to the bullying in schools today article â€Å"as many as 15-25% of children have been bullied at some time, so that schools have recognized an obligation to address this issue, coping with bullying is widely recognized preventing psychological harm that stems from bullying. Psychologists widely recommend that bullying be treated not just as a matter of â€Å"civil order† akin to childhood assault and battery, but as a developmental issue, one among many that affect ado lescents†.
